Abstract
This proposal will support a workshop in the Fall of 1999 covering the area of geographic naming protocols. Discussion will include both policy and technical issues. Attendees will include experts in geographic digital libraries and geographic information systems drawn from universities, professional organization, Federal agencies, and museums. The workshop will be hosted by the Smithsonian Institution.
