Keynote Speakers
Kim Nelson, Microsoft's E-Government Director will deliver a keynote address Tuesday, May 23, 2006. Dr. John Phillips, Chief Scientist of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), will deliver a keynote address for ISI2006 on Tuesday, May 23, 2006. (dg.o 2006 attendees are welcomed to attend.)
Principal Investigators Meeting
The dg.o 2006 conference also hosts the annual Principal Investigator (PI) meeting for the NSF's Digital Government research program and for those PIs in the Information Technology Research (ITR) program whose research is relevant to digital government. The luncheon meeting will held on Wednesday, May 24, 2006.
What are dg.o 2006 Tutorials? dg.o Tutorials, first introduced at dg.o 2005, are half-day presentations offering deeper insight into the scientific and government domains, research topics or methods, technologies or field experience of veteran Digital Government researchers. Learn more
International Research Workshops at dg.o 2006 The dg.o 2006 Program Committee invites proposals for International Research Workshops on any topic of shared interest among digital government researchers in different countries. Of particular relevance are topics of interest to researchers in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and the European Union. Learn more

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Colleagues, I wanted to let you know in case you were preparing a proposal with the expectation of submitting it in the coming Spring. In FY05 you were able to submit your Digital Government proposals to the IIS Division- wide call for proposals in April. This call has now been archive - please see: http://www.nsf.gov/publications/pub_summ.jsp?ods_key=nsf05551. If you go to this URL, you'll see the following notice: ============================================================== Public Comment: NSF is not accepting proposals under the Information and Intelligent Systems solicitation, NSF 05-551 in 2006 or future years. A new solicitation is currently under development that will clarify and better define the mapping of our program areas to the IIS organizational structure. We expect the new solicitation will have Fall 2006 deadline dates. The new solicitation will be posted at least 90 days prior to the deadline dates. ============================================================== We had originally expected to accept FY06 IIS proposals in about the same timeframe as in 05 - i.e. April-May 2006.
