THIRD EGOV CONFERENCE WITHIN THE DEXA CONFERENCE FRAMEWORK
Zaragoza, Spain - 30 August-3 September, 2004

The EGOV Conferences intend to assess the state of the art in e-government and to provide guidance for research & development in this fast-moving field. The annual conferences bring together leading research experts and professionals from all over the globe. EGOV04 in Zaragoza will build on the success of the preceding EGOV Conferences in Aix and in Prague. Contributions to the third EGOV Conference are expected to mirror current developments in e-government and to address one or more of the following topics:

  • Frameworks and guidelines for e-government and e-governance
  • e-government policies, strategies and implementation
  • Methods and tools for e-government research
  • e-democracy and e-voting
  • One-stop government, electronic service delivery, mobile services
  • International and regional projects, case studies and best practice
  • Sustaining administrative processes, collaborative activities, legal interpretation
  • Trust and security: provisions and instruments, citizen cards, digital signatures
  • Knowledge management, public information, GIS (geographical information systems)
  • Interoperability and standards, semantic standardisation
  • Change management and new organisational arrangements: public-private-partnerships, virtual teams
  • Legal, societal and cultural aspects of e-government
  • International dimensions: cooperation, comparisons, networks
  • Teaching e-government
